Welcome to this week’s Comacan Questions Interview, this week we spoke with some of our friends to the East of us. First, we spoke online then luckily had the chance to catch up in person on a road trip from one skateboard business to another. We’re glad to know them and proud to be part of the great Canadian skateboarding scene with them, please enjoy this week’s interview with Greendale Skateboards.
Why did you choose the name Greendale Skateboards?
Simple. It’s the name of my street and neighbourhood.
Where are you based out of?
Saint John, NB. If you’ve never been, come visit. It’s a great little city.
What products do you offer?
Everything to make a complete along with tools, Slipz Wax, and other accessories. The decks I sell for now are Canadian Maple with epoxy. I hope to soon sell decks from some of the other smaller outfits at an eventual brick and mortar shop. I sell shop brand hard goods along with some name brands.
Where can people view these products?
www.GreendaleSkateboards.com but my store is linked on Facebook and Instagram under the handle GreendaleSkateboards.
How can people contact you?
Email dan@greendaleskateboards.com or call. 5063332525.
Do you have a team?
I have some really supportive people who have fun on Greendale products. Nothing about the team is formal or anything serious. Just some great people who believe in the brand and skateboarding with a strong passion.
How do you give back to the skateboard community?
I’m just a baby company and to be honest the community has given a lot to me by being so supportive through my start-up phase and personal recovery from some major medical challenges.
What does skateboarding mean to you?
It’s a great mirror of life overall. It can be anything from a fun distraction to therapy and everything in between.
Anyone you’d like to thank?
My family who despite all my challenges have been there to see me back on my feet with a new lease on life.
