Welcome to this week’s Comacan Questions Interview, we are back with an interview with another guest. Our guest this week popped up on our radar while talking with other skateboarders during the interview process. They are a little outside of the areas we typically frequent however we are happy to expand beyond our own local lens and share an interview with this weeks guests, Pocket Skate & Vintage.
What is Pocket Skate & Vintage?
Pocket is a skateboard, vintage clothing and snowboard shop.
Where is the shop located?
We are located in Orillia, Ontario, Canada.
What inspired you to open a shop?
Since I was 13 and got my first skateboard at a local skate shop and saw what it was like to be in a shop, I wanted to do it.
Where can people view available products?
Why did you choose the name Pocket Skate & Vintage?
We actually did a group brainstorm and one our friend said pocket. It stop everyone in their tracks we all looked at each other and immediately started giving reasons why pocket work. We all pros for the name and no cons.
What does skateboarding mean to the shop?
Skateboarding means friends/community/fun.
What does snowboarding mean to the shop?
Same as skateboarding but with snow.
What do canadian brands mean to the shop?
We always have our eye open for Canadian and local brands. We would love to see more.
